How it works

How an LED light box frame illuminates your graphic

A lightbox display is a frame with built-in LED technology and printed graphics stretched across the face. The fabric graphics are dye-sublimation printed on backlit polyester, so the backlight passes through evenly and colours stay vibrant even in a dim hall.

Most of our frames take silicone edge graphics (SEG). A thin silicone strip sewn round the edge pushes into a channel in the frame, which keeps the fabric tight with no visible fixings.

What is an LED lightbox?
An LED lightbox is a display frame with LED lighting inside and a printed fabric graphic across the face. The light shines through the graphic, so your artwork glows rather than relying on the hall lighting. Ours range from slim freestanding light boxes to backlit walls, counters and towers.
Which LED lightbox should I choose for an exhibition?
Start with the job. A lightbox banner frames the front of the stand, a backlit display wall covers the back, an LED counter gives you a lit desk and a totem marks the stand from across the aisle. If you want everything matched, a lightbox exhibition stand kit includes walls and a counter.
Should I choose single or double sided?
Single sided suits a back wall or a light box against a panel. Choose double sided for anything visitors can walk round, such as a lightbox banner on a corner or open plot. Glopix light boxes offer a double sided option and Rayo light boxes are double sided as standard.
Do LED light boxes need mains power?
Most do. Glopix, Rayo and Boss Light boxes come with a UK/US/EU standard transformer, and the inflatable WaveLight Air range uses a power supply too. The Rayo LED Wireless light box runs on a rechargeable lithium battery rated for 14 hours, with a 7 hour charge.
Can an LED lightbox be wall mounted?
The WaveLight Infinity modular light box can be used freestanding, linked to other units or wall mounted. The rest of the range is freestanding, which suits exhibitions because nothing is fixed to the venue walls.
Can I use LED lightboxes outside exhibitions?
Yes. The same displays work in a showroom, reception or retail space and for promotional events. Glopix, Rayo and Boss Light boxes are listed for indoor use, so keep them under cover.
Are your lightboxes fire rated?
Glopix, Rayo and Boss Light boxes are listed as B1 fire rated, and the SEG fabric pop up wall with LED light uses DIN 4102-1 B1 fabric. The rating is shown in each product's specification, so check it against your venue's rules.
How long does set-up take?
Framed light boxes use tool-free assembly and go up in minutes. Inflatable WaveLight Air counters inflate in under 15 seconds and the backlit towers in under 60 seconds.
