The best exhibition stand for a 6x3 space is usually an L-shaped kit: a 6m fabric back wall, a 3m return and a counter at the open corner. Many of the 6m x 3m kits we sell are built this way, because it suits a corner plot open on two sides. If your plot is open on one side only, add a second return. If it is open on three sides, keep to a single 6m backdrop and leave both ends clear.
Our complete kits for this size start at £1,758.95 ex VAT for the Soft Touch L-shaped stand with counter, and the Starter XL kit at £2,099.95 is the one I would point most exhibitors to first. Prices were checked on our live product pages on 3 November 2026.

Corner plot open on 2 sides and the L-shaped 6x3 kit
A corner plot wants an L of printed graphics: 6m along the back and 3m down the closed end, with the counter near the corner where the two aisles meet. That puts your brand on the two faces visitors see from both aisles and leaves the open end free for people to walk in.
The Starter XL kit is designed for exactly this configuration. It has a 6m and a 3m Soft Touch fabric display, a square counter and a monolith banner stand, all on lightweight 30mm aluminium frames with 260gsm stretch fabric graphics. Each item has its own carry bag: the 6m wall packs down to 12kg, the 3m wall to 6.5kg and the counter to 10.5kg, so it stays portable enough to take to every event. The version with a literature stand is £2,124.95 if you hand out brochures.
- Best for: most first-time and regular exhibitors on a corner plot who want a complete branded stand in carry bags.
- Best for on a tight budget: the Soft Touch L-shaped stand with a square counter, 5,950mm wide and 2,950mm deep, with stabilising feet and tool-free assembly, at £1,758.95.

Inline plot open on 1 side, with shelves and a counter
An inline plot has neighbours at both ends, so you need graphics on three faces and everything has to face one aisle. The backdrop does the main job here, because visitors only see the stand front on as they walk past.
The Owl inline display at £2,468.95 is the lowest priced of our 3m x 6m inline display kits. It has tension fabric panels across an overall width of 5,258mm, a merchandiser frame with three clear shelves, a TV stand, LED lights and three hard cases, one of which converts into a counter with a printed wrap. If you already own a 3m exhibition stand kit, another route is to add a 6m backdrop and use your 3m wall as one end.
Best for: product-led stands that need shelves and a screen, on a plot with neighbours at both ends.
Peninsula plot open on 3 sides
With three open sides, the best exhibition stand for a 6x3 space is a single 6m backdrop with a counter towards the front, and nothing else blocking the ends. People reach the stand from three directions, so returns would only cut off two of your ways in.
Link Up Kit 4 is planned for a 6m x 3m plot open on three sides. It is a tool-free modular stand system with SEG fabric graphics, and you choose the height: £2,718.95 at 2m, £3,150.95 at 2.3m and £3,271.95 at 2.5m. A taller backdrop is worth it on a peninsula, because it is the only place your logo can sit above the people standing on the stand.
Best for: larger plots at the end of a row, seen from both aisles and the front.
How much a stand for a 6x3 space costs
A complete stand for a 6m x 3m plot costs from £1,758.95 to £4,700.95 ex VAT in our range, which works out at roughly £98 to £261 per square metre of an 18m² floor space. Every kit in the chart includes your printed graphics, and the price difference mostly comes from lighting, height and extras such as shelves or a storeroom.

If you only exhibit once or twice a year in England, exhibition stand hire is worth comparing. It is a fully managed service charged at one flat rate per square metre, with design, print, carpet, a 43-inch screen, installation and breakdown included and lighting as standard. Shell scheme stands are different again, as the organiser supplies the walls and you only add graphics; shell scheme vs space only explains that choice.
Custom artwork and a graphic template for your backdrop
Every order includes FREE artwork design or proofing, so the graphics on a 6x3 stand are no extra work for you. Send your own files for our team to check, or have us design the artwork for every panel from your logo and message.
Each product has its own template with the exact dimensions of each graphic, and the artwork guidelines cover file setup. Keep the logo and one short message at the top of the backdrop, above head height. On a plot this deep, visitors in the aisle see the top half of the graphic over the heads of the people already on the stand. There is also FREE UK delivery on orders of £200 or more.
LED lightbox or fabric display system for a bigger trade show plot
Fabric is the better value on most 6x3 stands, and lightboxes earn their extra cost in a dark exhibition hall or when you need visibility from across the floor. My guide to a fabric vs LED exhibition stand goes into that choice in more detail.
The LED XL kit at £2,899.95 mixes the two: an SEG fabric pop up backdrop 2,935mm wide with an LED lighting kit, a 2m x 1m lightbox, a lightbox counter and a slim 850mm lightbox, with carry cases and bags. For a fully lit stand, the LED Lightbox exhibition stand at £4,406.95 uses six lightbox panels 2,250mm high, joined into an L of 8,700mm of lit graphics.
Best for: lit graphics on a budget with the LED XL kit, and the brightest stand in the hall with the full lightbox stand.

6x3 exhibition stand ideas that use the extra depth
The 3m depth is what sets a 6x3 plot apart from a smaller one, so plan the floor as well as the graphics. Keep the front metre clear for people to step on, and use the back two metres for the things that make visitors stay.
- A demo zone: a screen on a TV stand against the backdrop, with the counter in front of it.
- A meeting corner: two seats and a small table in the closed corner, away from the aisle.
- A product display: shelves on the backdrop, as on the Owl, with the counter turned to face the busier aisle.
- A storeroom: the 18m² Modulate stand at £4,700.95 closes off a storeroom behind a door frame, with 2.4m walls, an illuminated counter and three pairs of LED floodlights.
- A recyclable stand: the cardboard 3m x 6m kit at £2,696.95 has a 5.85m backdrop, a 2.67m return, a counter, a 2.2m totem and a literature dispenser, all in recyclable board material.
3x3 vs 6x3 exhibition stand, what changes with the extra space
A 6x3 plot is double the floor area of a 3x3, 18m² against 9m², and the main difference is that it fits a second wall and a working zone rather than just a backdrop and a counter. If you are still choosing which size to book, the plan below shows how the common sizes compare.
On a 3m x 3m plot, a single 3m backdrop and a counter is the usual stand, and my guide to the best exhibition stand for a 3x3 space covers it. On a 6x3, that same stand would leave two thirds of the floor empty. If you might book both sizes, buy for the 3x3 first and add a 6m backdrop later, so your 3m wall becomes the return.

The best exhibition stand for a 6x6 space
For a 6m x 6m plot, the best stand is usually one double-sided 6m wall across the middle with a counter on each face, if the plot is open on three or four sides. That gives you printed graphics facing every aisle and splits the floor into two working areas.
We do not sell a ready-made 6m x 6m kit, so this is one to put together from separate items. The 6m straight stretch fabric wall, double-sided is £834.95 ex VAT, 5,950mm wide and 2,270mm high, with the same or a different design on each face at no extra cost. Add two counters and a monolith or totem at the open corners. For a 6x6 plot in England you can also ask for a hire quote, as custom sizes are available.
The best exhibition stand for an island stand
The best exhibition stand for an island stand has double-sided walls that meet in the middle, so every aisle sees a printed face and nobody walks past a bare back. An island is open on all four sides, so graphics round the edge would close it off.
The 4m x 4m cardboard island stand kit at £3,165.95 is planned this way: two 3.17m double-sided walls meet at a right angle in the centre, with a counter in front of each one and a 2m totem at each open corner. Before you order for an island, check the exhibitor manual for any height limit on walls in the middle of the hall. For a 6x3 plot rather than an island, our range of modular exhibition stands has kits that link together as your plot grows.
Best for: island plots where you want an exhibition display seen from all four aisles.
Which display stand to buy for your event
Of the display stands above, buy for the plot you book most often and let the number of open sides decide the shape. These are the picks from each section.
- Choose the Starter XL kit if your plot is a corner open on two sides and you want everything in one order.
- Choose the Soft Touch L-shaped stand if budget is tight and you need only graphics and a counter.
- Choose the Owl inline display if you have neighbours at both ends and need shelves and a screen.
- Choose Link Up Kit 4 if your plot is open on three sides, in the 2.5m height if you can.
- Choose the LED XL kit or the full lightbox stand if the hall is dark or you want to be seen from across it.
- Choose the 18m² Modulate stand if you need a lockable area for stock, coats and bags.
If you are weighing up a pop up stand vs modular stand, that guide goes through the trade-offs between the two systems, including a fabric pop up stand against a modular frame.

How we compared
We compared the complete stands we sell for a 6m x 3m plot using their live product specifications and prices, checked on our product pages on 3 November 2026. Layouts follow the open sides each kit is planned for, as stated on its product page. Prices are ex VAT and include printed graphics. This is a desk comparison of published product data, not a test of the stands.
Frequently asked questions
How big is a 6x3 exhibition stand space?
A 6x3 space is 6m wide and 3m deep, a floor area of 18m². Most walls in our 6m x 3m kits stand between 2m and 2.5m high, so check the organiser’s height limit for your plot before you choose.
What is the cheapest stand for a 6m x 3m space?
Of the complete kits in this guide, the Soft Touch L-shaped stand with a square counter is the lowest priced at £1,758.95 ex VAT. It gives you a 6m backdrop, a 3m return and a counter, which covers a corner plot open on two sides.
Can I use a 3x3 stand on a 6x3 space?
You can, but it will fill only half the back of the plot and leave it looking empty. A better plan is to keep your 3m wall as the return and add a 6m backdrop, so the stand you already own becomes part of the larger layout.
How many people does it take to put up a 6x3 stand?
Most of the kits in this guide go up without tools, as the frames push or click together and the graphics zip or slot on. The 6m wall is the largest item, and while one person can build its frame, two make fitting the fabric much easier.
