A 4m tall rectangular flag that gives you a full, clean block of print for car forecourts, shop entrances, exhibitions and outdoor events. Your design is dye-sublimation printed on 110gsm flag knit and fits over a black glass fibre pole that flexes with the wind, so the flag keeps moving and catching the eye. The pole and printed flag come as a set, and you choose the base separately to suit hard ground or grass.

Printed single-sided

This flag is printed single-sided. A single-sided flag is one layer of knit, so your design shows through on the back as a mirror image. A double-sided flag carries a separate print on each face, so your message reads correctly from both directions, and it is finished with a printed pole pocket so the artwork runs the full height of the flag.

Quick to put up and pack away

The pole sections join with push-fit ends, with no tools needed. Once the pole is built, the flag’s pocket slides over it and the pole drops into your base. A protective fabric sleeve keeps the sections together when you travel or store the flag.

Choose a base to suit the ground

You get the pole and your printed flag. The base is a separate item, picked to match where the flag will stand. A ground spike suits grass and soft ground. For paving, tarmac or an indoor floor, a water-filled base or a metal cross base gives a steady footing, and a drive-on car foot slides under a vehicle wheel on a forecourt. Tell us the flag height and the surface and we will recommend the right base.

Looking after your flag

Machine wash the flag at 30°C without detergent and make sure it is completely dry before you store it. Bring it down in heavy rain or when the wind rises above force 4 on the Beaufort scale (about 18mph), and keep it clear of anything sharp that could catch the fabric. With regular outdoor use, plan on a flag lasting around six months, depending on the weather it sees.

Reuse and recycling

  • The flag pole can be reused with a new flag whenever your design changes.
  • Your fabric graphic can be washed and reused, and when your design changes a new print fits the same frame.
  • We print by dye sublimation with water-based inks, so the colour is fused into the fabric and will not crack or peel.
  • Polyester fabric can be recycled through specialist textile recycling schemes, though not in household collections.

Instructions and technical sheets

Supplying your own artwork

If you would rather send a finished file than use our free design service, set it up like this.

  • Use the template above. It is drawn at quarter size (1:4), so keep it at that size and do not change its proportions: we scale it up when we print.
  • Set your colours in CMYK and send a high quality print PDF.
  • Images look best at 72 to 125dpi at full print size, which is about 300 to 500dpi inside a quarter-size template.
  • Run your background 3mm past the cut line and keep text and logos inside the safe area.
  • Outline all fonts. Keep text at least 3mm high and lines at least 2mm thick.
  • Send one design per file. A double-sided graphic needs a file for each side.
  • Hide the instructions layer and remove the template lines before you export.

Flag fabric lets most of the print show through, so a single-sided flag can be seen from both sides. Where a double-sided flag is offered, send one file for each side.

How big is it when it's set up?

It stands 4000mm high and 750mm wide with its pole, and weighs 1kg.

Does it come with a base?

No. You get the pole and your printed flag, and choose the base separately. A ground spike suits grass and soft ground, and a water-filled base or metal cross base suits paving, tarmac or an indoor floor.

Can the design be seen from the back?

Yes, but as a mirror image. It's printed single-sided on one layer of knit, so the design shows through on the back reversed.

How long will it take to arrive?

Printed and dispatched within 5 days with express options available. The 5 working days start once you've approved your artwork. If you approve after 2pm, or at a weekend or on a bank holiday, they start from the next working day. UK delivery then takes 1-2 working days after dispatch.
